This may come as a surprise, but I will be open and honest. I am twenty-seven years old and I had never held a baby until I met Austin in 2016. Yes! Do not be alarmed. I am not a monster who dislikes babies, I was just rarely around them. However, March 11th, 2017 was a momentous day. I had the honor of holding baby Austin in my arms. I must say, I was extremely nervous. Austin was not my baby and I would be held responsible for whatever might happen to him. What if I dropped him? What if I harmed his tiny body? What if he cried? (He did.) I held him with stride until he started to whimper and whine. Austin just wanted to go back to Lilia, his mother. It wasn't me! (It was most likely me...)
Needless to say, I was ecstatic when Lilia asked Cynthia and me if we wanted to do a newborn shoot with Austin. It would be the first newborn shoot we had ever done. On the day of his photoshoot, Austin was a sweet and quiet one until he peed. He did. He peed right through the bean bag chair that was underneath his little body in the middle of the shoot. Cynthia warned me that babies could pee during the photoshoot. She told me to bring dog potty pads so we could place them under the blankets, but it slipped my mind! Regardless of the little accident, the shoot was still a success. Below are a few of the results. Enjoy!
